About me
I am BACP registered and trained as an integrative therapist which enables me to use a number of different approaches as no single approach can treat every situation. I work from a private room in Damerham, Hampshire.
Although my dominant approach is relational - concentrating on how individuals recognise the role relationships play in the shaping of daily experiences and helps them understand patterns appearing in the thoughts and feelings they have toward themselves - I will always work with you using all the tools at my disposal to help you on your journey of self- discovery.
I believe that we cannot forget what has happened in our lives, but we can positively change the way in which those experiences affect our lives.
I am not here to tell you what to do nor give advice; I am here to help you explore and discover your feelings and thoughts about issues that might be blocking your path and making it difficult for you to move forward.
As well as being a counsellor, I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, and feel that these roles have provided me with a wide and enriching basis that informs everything I do.
I believe that my own life experiences have given me an excellent base to work from.
I have experience dealing with depression, anxiety, family relationships, addictions, eating disorders, loss and grief, OCD, bullying, abuse, low self-esteem and depression fallout - which is particularly relevant to those who live with someone suffering from depression.
